THE SUBJECT: When I decided to study architecture, I knew that I want to study at the University of Chile. I liked this university because all its subjects interested me. As time has passed, and we have advance in classes, I have noticed that my favorite subject is workshop (the others subjects do not bother me, but they are not my favorites); I love that in that subject you can express yourself, the teachers make constructive criticism and they help you to improve your ideas. Something that I also like is that the jobs they give us are often very different from one another, different areas are worked in the semester. We also work with helpers and they give us their opinion about some ideas that we have. We have made plates, models, sculptures, and other things. FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT (1867-1959): He was an American architect, is one of the main masters of 20th century architecture. He was born into a family of shepherds of British origin, and spent much of his childhood and adolescence on a farm in Wisconsin, in full contact with nature, which years later conditioned his conception of architecture. Frank Lloyd Wright entered to study engineering at the University of Wisconsin, but after two years he decided to quit the career and moved to Chicago, where he started working at Joseph Lyman Silsbee´s studio, but considering him a too conventional architect, Frank Lloyd decided to leave that job and start working with Louis Sullivan. THE CELL PHONE  My favorite piece of technology is my cell phone, because it is what keeps me connected with my friends and with my family. It is also very useful when I´m looking for information; serves to entertain yourself in leisure time (you can play in some game). And is very handy to have in your pocket, is the right size, does not weigh much. Something I do not like about the cell phone is that the battery charge lasts very little. Even though the cell phone is very useful, I think that in a certain part we have lost the communication face to face. People today find it difficult to express their thoughts or feelings, and this happens because we are all day watching the phone, the computer or any technological object.

Your career/ program choice

                                                              A BIG CHOICE   I chose to study Architecture because I like to see and investigate about historical buildings. I really like Baroque buildings, buildings of the middle ages. It´s something that has always interesed me. I also like to analyze the city, see their problems and try to give them a solution. Another side of the architecture that attracts me a lot is the sustainable side, of how we can throught architecture help the environment.  Some things that can sometimes make the career difficult is that something we can´t sleep for the work we must to do. Another thing that makes the career complicated is that the mockups are very big and inconvenient to travel with them. What has become more difficult is being away from my family, sometimes I do not see them...

When I was born, my mom was only 16 years old, she was too young, but in spite of that  she gave me his unconditional love. My life has been marked by moments of happiness, most of them are with my family. Something I will always remember is that when I was a child, me and my parents traveled to the south of Chile, for the summer, and that was amazing. In that journey we visit so many places, we camped, we also visited many lakes. the best of that trip were the moments in family, the connection with nature.
